The story of Nijst Natural Stone began in 1993 with Johan and Danielle. What started as a love of stone grew into a family business where, today, a team of people works with Natural Stone every day.

A lot has changed over the years. But one thing has remained the same: we want to know our product, provide excellent service to our customers, and deliver work we stand behind.

Today, the next generation is also helping to build Nijst. Arthur, along with Johan and Danielle, is continuing the family legacy, honoring what has been built while bringing new ideas about production, Belgian “ Natural Stone ,” and the future of the craft.

What remains the same? Our love for stone, personal contact, and the desire to create something beautiful together.

    The Beginning

    Johan and Danielle founded Nijst Natural Stone . Their love for Natural Stone marked the beginning of a story that continues to this day.

  2. 2012

    Building Together for the Future

    Nijst continues to grow as a family business. That year, Danielle is honored with the Livia Award, in recognition of her entrepreneurship

  3. 2019

    International Market

    Nijst is participating for the first time in Marmomac in Verona, the international trade fair for Natural Stone. It’s an ideal opportunity to find inspiration, share knowledge, and make new connections.

  4. 2021

    In-house production

    Nijst has chosen to process more and more Natural Stone in-house. With its own sawmill and machinery, the company now has more options for finishing and custom Natural Stone .

  5. 2026

    A new step with STRATA

    With “ STRATA ,” Nijst is launching its own product brand for Belgian Natural Stone. Locally sourced stone, processed in-house, and ready for a new chapter.
