The story of Nijst Natuursteen began in 1993. What started as a love of stone grew into a family business where, today, a team of people works with natural stone every day.

A lot has changed over the years. But one thing has remained the same: we want to know our product, provide excellent service to our customers, and deliver work we stand behind.

Today, the next generation is also helping to shape Nijst’s future. Artur, the son, is continuing the family legacy alongside Johan, honoring what has been built while bringing fresh ideas about production, Belgian natural stone, and the future of the trade.

    The Beginning

    Johan founded Nijst Natuursteen. A love of natural stone marked the beginning of a story that continues to this day.

  2. 2012

    Building Together for the Future

    Nijst continues to grow as a family business. That year, Danielle is honored with the Livia Award, in recognition of her entrepreneurship

  3. 2020

    In-house production

    Nijst has decided to process more and more natural stone in-house. With its own sawmill and machinery, the company now has more options for finishing and custom-cut natural stone.

  4. 2026

    Acquisition of Masterstone

    With the acquisition of Masterstone's operations, Nijst is further expanding its capabilities in precision custom work and specialized machining.
